Changes and Growth. Two small words with such great power and influence. As we begin the 2nd Quarter of 2019 we are very excited about the changes we have made, while looking ahead at the continued growth we are experiencing, without losing sight of what we have already accomplished during the first three months. First off we are SO excited that the ugly, often failing, poor quality Natatorium HVAC Unit #6 has officially been retired and removed from the facility rooftop. On March 25th-27th TUDI Mechanical replaced that unit with a properly sized unit we’ll call Unit #7. We are committed to offering our members and guests the very best environment possible while utilizing our facility. This new unit accomplishes that for our swimmers, lifeguards, instructors, and the many onlookers within the Natatorium space. Thank you for your patience during the closure and installation period. We do hope you enjoy the many benefits this new unit will provide. Have you also noticed all the fresh paint? Thanks to Danny Shaffer and his team the facility received a facelift over the last few months and looks great!! It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do.
Let’s talk about growth. As of the moment I am authoring this post, we are up to 1,243 Membership Units, which equates to over 4,400 individuals who are members utilizing the facility on a daily basis. We continue to grow and set new membership records. SO proud of everyone’s efforts and hard work to make this happen. Without Jack’s leadership, the awesome Staff, a strong Board and Trustees, other Volunteers, and of course our members, this growth is not possible. Keep up the great work everyone!!
It is due to this growth that we are taking the next steps in expanding the facility via our Capital Campaign, which has been in the works 2 years now and we will officially kickoff the Fundraising Phase in June/July 2019. Stay tuned for more information and more events where you can hear our story and consider supporting what we’re seeking out to accomplish.
Lastly I want to give some shout outs. Already in 2019 we have a Program that has achieved so much success and has set more records. I want to recognize the Snyder Stingrays Swim Teams and all the individual swimmers who recently took first place overall at the WPYSL Championships at IUP, followed that up with bringing home a Bronze at Districts, then sent 24 swimmers to States. 24!!! That’s amazing! What an accomplishment by these swimmers, their coaches, and their families. Great job to all and as Dory would say, “Just keep swimming.”
Happy Spring everyone!!
