The Richard G. Snyder YMCA Campus has gone through a lot of positive changes in the last 2 years. We hope that the YMCA will continue to be a strong, positive force in our community for years to come. As we continue to strive to be this force in the community we ask that you adapt with us.
As many of you are aware, over the last 6 years we have had numerous issues centered around the air handling unit (HVAC #6) that controls our natatorium environment. We have done extensive work to this unit over the last 2 years to make sure that the natatorium environment is safe and efficient. As recent as 2 weeks ago, we experienced issues with this unit that we have never experienced before. This week, 11-5-2018, the work to resolve these issues will be conducted and completed.
As a result of the immense amount of work, effort and resources that we have employed over this time frame we believe our next steps are to investigate replacing this air handling unit. We are committed to ensuring that all our equipment is running at its maximum efficient capacity.
We take the health and welfare of each member of our community very seriously and we will continue to strengthen our community to make sure everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a very safe environment.
