Ronna started at the YMCA for her daughter to learn how to swim. Through the lessons, Ronna had time to exercise herself. She soon realized that she knew people who worked at the Y and quickly felt at home. In June of 2017, she found out that she had “Invasive metaplastic triple negative breast cancer”. On June 14th she endured a 16 hour double mastectomy with the removal of 2 large deep tumors. As of August, 30th Ronna is back at the Y with her daughter in swim class. She is wanting to work out but is restricted to walking. She feels very blessed and humbled by her life and loves what the Y has to offer.
