The new year will bring more opportunities for Armstrong County residents to enjoy the benefits of a free membership at the Richard G. Snyder YMCA. Stop in today to see if you qualify. Active&Fit® is the new program for people ages 18 to 64 and Silver&Fit® is for those 65 and older. People qualify for these benefits through their health insurance and can visit the Y or call their health plan to learn if they are eligible. In May the Richard G. Snyder YMCA Campus celebrated its one year anniversary in the new facility on North Water Street, but improvements are already in the works. Upgrades to the soccer fields, a new parking lot and the reconfiguration of the annex are on the list for the next year and the staff is excited for the changes.
